About the event
A drift is an activity taken from the Situationist International movement, as a way of walking and exploring a space without using a planned route or typical directions. We will wander, meander and amble through the city, without a specific walk leader or end goal in mind, simply walking however the group decides. For this edition of a Drift we will also be feeding birds, to help out our feathery friends in this cold part of the year (bird food provided but feel to being your own too!) This practice is a great way to explore a new place, notice new things about a well-known area, get some fresh air and socialise in a relaxed setting. We will begin the walk from outside Lakeside Arts in Highfields Park, and may find somewhere to have a snack or drink and a chat after the walk, if the group would like.
